Loading, Hiking, Training, & back to RMI Base

Rainier Mountaineering Inc. has a fine team of qualified mountaineering guides. You may see them at www.rmiguides.com. We loaded our equipment into their vehicles and spent 40 minutes on the road getting to Paradise, WA inside Rainier National Park. Once there, we unloaded, put on our gear & hiked for over an hour to gain several hundred feet in altitude high above our start. The walk through fields of flowers & fog up to the snowfields was magnificent. We spent the day training in cloudy, rainy weather on the snowfields, descended back to the lodge, rode back to Ashford and slept Saturday night.
